fall favorites: pumpkin spice latte, mustaches and more!

Hey guys! Now that fall is in full swing, I'll be writing posts about fall fashion, beauty, and little knicknacks like this. Let me know what kind of "fall related" posts you would like me to do in the comments below!

1. Pumpkin Spice Latte

I went to Starbucks on Saturday and realized a lot of beauty gurus on youtube have been raving about this fall favorite for a while. So I decided to give it a shot (so punny...LOL.) After the first sip, I literally fell in love. Everyone loves Starbucks, but sometimes the long lines and the prices can throw people off. So, why wait in a long line and pay a lot for something you crave? I found the exact same drink that you can make yourself at home, and it doesn't take a long time to make, which is a plus. This drink is great for when you're outside and shivering. This REALLY warms you up instantly. Definitely something I'll be repurchasing throughout fall and winter!
Here's how you make it!

2. Mustache tees
When I first saw this adorable long sleeve mustache tee from Delia's website, I literally wanted to rush to the store and pick it up! This is a great shirt for fall, and I love how it's orange with black text, great for halloween! If I had this shirt (I'm buying it the next time I go into Delia's!), I would pair it with jeans or leggings and uggs. I also love the hi-lo hem! This top is screaming my name!
3. Cider Lane
This scent reminds me of an apple orchard, apple cider and most importantly, fall!

4. Germany Collection by OPI
Lately, I've been loving and wearing berry shades on my nails for fall. I love the trend and I think it will carry on into the winter as well. The Germany Collection from OPI really reminds me of the leaves changing in the fall. What does it remind you of?
From left to right:
Yellow: Don't Talk Bach To Me
Orange: Schnapps Out Of It!
Red-Orange: Deutsch You Want Me Baby?
Red: Danke Shiny Red
Burgundy: German-icure
Shimmery Purple: Suzi & The 7 Dusseldorfs
Dark Shimmery Purple: Every Month is Oktoberfest
Blue: Unfor-greta-bly Blue
Gray: Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!
Taupe-ish Beige: Berlin There Done That
Taupe-ish Pink: My Very First Knockwurst
Light Pink: Don't Pretzel My Buttons
I love all these colors and names! I'm going to have to buy all of them! Which is your favorite?

Well there you have it! What are your favorites this season? Tell me in the comments below!

School Spritz: 3 Healthy After- School Snacks

Hey guys! I'm so excited because I just got a youtube yesterday! My channel is orlygirl04. Please subscribe! Although I have not put any videos up yet, I will be putting up videos soon! Also, whenever I upload a video there, I will put them here so you guys can watch them! I will be doing a "what's in my bag?" video and a "room tour" video soon so stay tuned for that! Have any other video requests for me? Please comment below! I would love to hear from you guys! Also, for video requests or if you want to just chat with me, I got a new email so please inbox me at: tiffanipan2@gmail.com. Also, I am making a vlog channel as well, which is for personal and random videos. If you know how to get a second channel on youtube, PLEASE let me know in the comments below, because that would help me and others who are looking to do this too!

I'm starting a new series for you guys called "school spritz". It's basically where I give you advice on stress, making friends, and all that jazz relating to school! I will also be making videos about these topics, so you can also see me while I'm talking to you guys, not just reading an essay by me....boring right?

You know those days when you come home from a long day of school and look in the fridge and think to yourself, "what am I going to eat for snack today?" If you have this dilemma, you're not alone! I go through this dilemma too, and I'm pretty sure others do too! In this guide, I looked up healthy foods you can snack on when you come home from school.

Check them out below...

Mix-n-Match Trail Mix. Making your own healthy trail mix is a great way to experiment with different whole grain cereals, nuts, dried fruits and even chocolate. Start with a fiber base of two different whole grain cereals, one cup of each. Add one cup of mixed nuts like almonds, cashews, peanuts or Brazil nuts and a half cup of dried fruits; raisins, bananas or pineapple will add some natural sweetness to your mix. Optionally, you can add a half cup or less of chocolate chips. Chocolate has some great natural antioxidants and is healthy to eat in small doses.

Fruit Smoothies. Fruit-based smoothies can be just as delicious as high-calorie milkshakes and need only a few ingredients. The best base for smoothies is bananas because they act as a thickener, making smoothies rich and creamy. Keep a few bananas in your freezer so they are already ice cold. One banana per smoothie is all you need. Add other fruits, fresh or frozen, to your smoothie and blend until everything has completely mixed. Encourage your teens to experiment with different fruits; you can even start a smoothie special of the week.

Veggies, Pita and Hummus. My favorite! Chips and dips are the go-to snack for teens, however they are high in saturated fats, unhealthy to eat every day. As an alternative to chips, try freshly cut vegetables like celery, carrots, cauliflower or broccoli. Pita or whole grain crackers also go great with hummus and can be more filling than vegetables. Hummus is a creamy dip made out of chick peas and spices; this dip is a great source of protein and comes in a variety of flavors.

What do you snack on when you come home from school?!

Food for Thought: Lemon Hummus

Ever since the first time I tried Whole Food's Lemon Hummus, I loved it so much that every time I went there to buy food, I always went to pick up the hummus first! LOL. It was just that good! For those of you who don't know what hummus is, it's a dip made from pureed chickpeas. It's a great dip for pretzels, chips, vegetables, and anything else you can think of. It is  I highly recommend trying hummus to anyone who has an open mind about trying new foods or who is bored of the usual salsa ...it's just SO good!

Hummus comes in many different flavors, but my favorite is lemon hummus. I love citrus because the vitamin C in them keeps you healthy at all times. Hummus is great for parties, with chips and veggies on the side. I just realized that making your own lemon hummus is easier than I thought! Just take original hummus (any brand that makes hummus) and squeeze about a quarter to a half a lemon (depending on what acidity you want your hummus to have) and VOILA! Enjoy your hummus!

Would you try hummus? Or make it yourself? What else would you dip into it besides pretzels, chips and veggies?

Tiffani

Tiffani's Style Guide: How to Rock a Pair of Black Pumps

I have a friend who is vacationing in Alaska right now and last night, she asked me what she should wear with black pumps. This summer, I've been doing a lot of shopping and I saw a ton of black pumps in all different fabrics. I like to wear black pumps when the weather permits. I like wearing them with skirts, dresses and jeans. But there are endless ways to wear them, since they're so versatile. Since black pumps are essential in every woman's closet, I decided to show you guys three ways to wear them. Here are three ways I would wear these classy pumps...
Girls' Night Out.  What I love about this blouse is that you can dress it up or down. I love pairing a white blouse with blue jeans and adding a red clutch for a pop of color. This makes me want to go out with my friends right now!

Date Night. The uber-classic LBD and black pumps make a beautiful duo. I added a gold cuff, a ring and diamond earrings for an effortless night out with your boyfriend.
Family Dinner. Last but not least, the outfit for a night out with your family... When it comes to family dinners, I like pairing an all-over lace tank with colored jeans. Since green is in this fall, I chose these jeans from Charlotte Russe to stay on trend. I like pairing the fairly-simple top with a long necklace and stacked rings to complete the look.

Girls' Night Out:
Blouse, $24.80
Clutch, $10.50
Jeans, $29.70
Pumps, $59.95
Necklace, $6.80

Date Night:
Dress, $20
Pumps, $59.95
Earrings, $3.80
Bracelet, $14.50
Rings, $3.80

Family Dinner:
Tank, $29.50
Jeans, $25
Necklace, $6.80
Rings, $4.80
Pumps, $59.95

So what do you think?! Which one would you wear? Do you have any other ways to wear black pumps? Let me know in the comments below!

TGIF: Tiffany Blue

Lately, I've been obsessed with Tiffany Blue, and whenever I see this color, it reminds me of Audrey Hepburn. It also makes me feel calm, which is good for the school year, especially when there are tests and quizzes to study for. I think it's such a pretty color! Also, I've shopped a lot this summer, and saw a lot of Tiffany Blue colored blouses, skirts, blazers, and even shoes! I think this hue looks great against a plain white blouse, blue jeans and some classic black ballet flats.

Here are my pins from this week...

These cupcakes look so good with the white bows! They look just like the box!

Such a great inspiration! I especially love the bows on the chairs and the lanterns!

So artsy! "Riva" ($27) from Chanel is great for adding a pop of color to a plain white blouse and jeans! And I love how it matches the sky in the background!

Beauty Buzz: 6 of my favorite fall scents

Hi guys! Fall is all about color, so fragrances should be too. I love the bottle in which the actual perfume is encased in. Although I love choosing my perfumes based on how the bottle looks, it is really about how it smells. That is what inspired me to write this post! For fall, I like perfumes that have a fruity and floral vibe to it. One that I use a lot is Ralph Lauren Romance. It smells so good, which is why I keep using it.

Check out my favorite scents below...

Ralph Lauren- Big Pony Women’s Collection #2, $55
Ralph Lauren- Ralph, $52.50
Taylor Swift- Wonderstruck, $49.50
Juicy Couture- Viva La Juicy, $70
Justin Bieber- Girlfriend, $49
Coach- Poppy, $45

Which one's your favorite? What is your favorite perfume to wear in the fall? Tell me in the comments below!

Back to School Guide: my 3 outfits

Hi guys! I hope you all are having a great summer! With the summer coming to an end and the school year coming around the corner, it's time to head to the school supply store and stock up on pens, pencils, notebooks and other supplies you may need. Plus, a lot of people stress about what to wear on the first day. I love dressing nicely for the first day to get a good impression from my teachers. To ease your stress, I came up with 3 outfits based on the girl's personality. First, there's the preppy outfit, which is exactly what I wore on the first day of high school (last year). The bold outfit is great for girls who are daring and love to wear bright hues and prints. The third style is the urban outfit, which is for the girl who loves oversized sweaters, and unique details. Check them out below...

Practically Preppy. Channel your inner Spencer Hastings from Pretty Little Liars with a classic shirt, skinny jeans, and classy ballet flats. Don't forget those pearl earrings! And, a big, neutral-toned shoulder bag will hold all your first day necessities.

Bright & Bold. Don't be afraid to wear eye- catching hues like lemon or mint. To achieve this style, pair bright skinnies with a neutral sweater with a contrast tote for your books. I love the stacked bracelets and how the nail polish matches the jeans. This look will definitely have all eyes on you in the halls!

Urban Chic. For all you girls out there who love fun cuts, prints and colors, this outfit is for you! I love pairing a basic tank with tie dye or ombre cut-off shorts. Stacked rings and a large graphic cuff polish the ruggedness of the shorts and tank.

Want to shop these looks? Click the links below...

Practically Preppy:
Shirt $68
Jeans $39
Ballet Flats $39
Nail Polish $18
Ring $7.50
Earrings $6.50
Shoulder Bag  $27.80

Bright & Bold:
Top $24.80
Jeans $24.80
Sandals $69.95
Tote $69
Bracelets $9
Earrings $4.80

Urban Chic:
Tank $16
Shorts $29
Necklace $8.50
Rings $4.80
Bracelet $9

Which girl are you…preppy, bold or urban? What will you wear on the first day of school? Take a snapshot of your outfit on the first day of school and I’ll choose the best photos for my upcoming Back to School Photo Guide post!

Give it a Try: Bright Hues

Hey guys! One of the biggest trends this summer are bright hues. Bright colors add a pop of color to your outfit. Wearing bright colors is a nice transition from the dull and dark colors of the fall and winter.  Handbags, shorts, jeans, skirts, tops, etc. are all in bright hues this season. Don't be afraid to be daring with bright colors! You can wear bright colors in two ways: matchy-matchy or colorblock. I prefer to colorblock because during the summer, I like to wear bright colors and that's how I express myself.

Want to know how to get this look? Here's where to buy everything:
Delia's Crochet Tank
Abercrombie Fallon Shorts
Aldo Lemmert Flat Sandals
H&M Bag
Forever 21Aviators

Photo is from here.

Would you try this look? And how do you wear bright hues?

What I Love: Coach Poppy, Lemonade, Cats & More!

Hey everyone! You probably noticed that I didn't post all last week. The reason is because I was studying like crazy for the regents and final exams coming up. I'm so scared for the amount of exams coming up! If you have any test-taking tips, share them in the comments below!

I love the bottle that Coach used for their Poppy perfume, but I think the downside is the price: $65.00. I also love the cap.....it's so pretty. Overall, the presentation of the bottle is cute, flirty and pretty but the price isn't! LOL.

This cat looks so happy!

Lemonade is one of my favorite beverages and it is perfect in the summer. Serve it if you're having a barbeque or a pool party. It's so easy! Learn how to make it here.

This rolled 'do is stunning yet classy. If you're going to a wedding or any other special event, choose this one!

Do you have any fun things you found on the internet this week? If so, share in the comments below!

The Look for Less: Pretty in Pastel

When I first saw this, I just fell in love. This dress is so feminine and pretty and I love that shade of pink! And since it's spring, these pastels are perfect! Also, this dress has 2 spring trends in it: pastels and colorblocking! The best of both worlds!

Since the dress is from Jason Wu, the price of this dress might be enough to break the bank, so I found a budget- friendly alternative instead:

Peplum tank- Forever 21
Coral Skirt- Forever 21
Peep-toe pumps- DSW

Do you like Coco Rocha's dress? And would you try this look? If you do, snap a picture and send it to me! Or, if you have a Pose account, pose it! I would love to see it!

DIY: Bean Frames

Beans taste amazing in salads and soups, but beans can turn a plain picture frame into something extraordinary. It sounds time consuming but I think the amount of time spent doing this counts.

Simply browse through a store that sells dried beans (or you may have them at home in the pantry) to get inspired by the bright colors and smooth bead-like shapes. Paint unfinished wooden frames with acrylic paint, and glue on beans with craft glue. Begin gluing along the outside edge of the frame, starting at one corner, applying a thin layer of glue and pressing on beans.

I think this is such a great idea and it could make your room or any other room in your house look special. I would love to do this!

Would you try this? If you try this project, take a picture and share it by emailing me!

TAG: The 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty!

I was on elleandblair.com and watched Blair's video on the 7 deadly sins of beauty. It was so interesting so thats what inspired this post!

And onto the questions!
1. GREED - What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

My most inexpensive beauty item is my NatureLuxe gloss balm that I got from CVS. For the review, click here. My most expensive beauty item is my 3 More Inches Shampoo and Conditioner. I got them from a store in my town called Space NK. The packaging was adorable!
2. WRATH - What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?

I have 5 mascaras, but out of the five, I absolutely love my mascara from Clinique. It doesn't flake at all and it's really easy to remove it. It also makes my lashes appear fuller the next morning so it doesn't look like I don't have lashes. I don't hate any of my products but sometimes I have issues with them. I always buy my mascaras from CVS, and the first one was by some random brand (forgot the name) but I thought it would make my lashes longer and fuller. I woke up and it was so flaky and I had black stuff all over my nose and cheeks. I soon realized I forgot to put the primer on!
3. GLUTTONY - What are your most delicious beauty products?

My NatureLuxe gloss balm smells like strawberry shortcake. I could just sit in my room for a whole day and smell that tube of gloss balm! LOL. Next, I would say my Infallible lip gloss from L'Oreal smells amazing too. It has a pinkish-coral color and it makes your lips so soft. And lastly, I have this lip balm I got a while ago that is pink and smells like strawberry-kiwi. It's funny how those are two of my favorite fruits!

4. SLOTH - What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?

I neglect eyeliner a lot. I feel kind of guilty for it but I feel like I don't need it on a daily basis. I usually only wear eyeliner if I'm going to dinner with friends or special events.

5. PRIDE - What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

I feel most confident when I wear my Clinique mascara. They give my lashes an extra oomph, you know? I was flipping through a Neiman Marcus catalogue a few weeks ago and came across this quote: "Makeup is a way for a woman to feel beautiful and confident." -Bobbi Brown. It's so true! If I don't put makeup on, I always feel like I look like a zombie (which is what I look like every morning when I wake up for school LOL!)

6. LUST - What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

I look to more of the physical attributes of a guy. I have several guy friends and they are all good looking in different ways. I think brown hair and blue eyes is perfect. All my guy friends are funny and their jokes always make me laugh, which always smoothens out my day if I'm having a rough one. I'm always looking to see if the guy has a good sense of humor.
7. ENVY - What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

I've always wanted a cute charm bracelet with cute charms. I had one from Juicy Couture but I lost it. I was so sad. I hope I get another one!

Answer the questions from this TAG in the comments below!

I hope you all are enjoying your Sundays! Has anyone noticed the strange weather these past couple of days? I always joke that the weather is bipolar. LOL. Do you guys agree? One day its 80 the next day, 50. It's so weird! It's always good to have different types of clothes and shoes to suit the weather. In the Northeast, the weather's unexpected.

P.S. If you want me to do any kind of post or if you have a question, please put it in the comments below! I LOVE reading all of your comments because they help me so much and I love talking to you guys! If you ask a question, I will feature you in the next day's post!

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

DIY: Homemade Marshmallows

Happy St. Patricks Day everyone! This morning, I was eating my breakfast while watching one of my favorite channels, the Food Network. Ina Garten was making these amazing treats from scratch so I was inspired to write this post! Who doesn't love marshmallows? They taste so good with rice krispies.

Here's how you make America's favorite candy:

  • Ingredients:
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting

Directions:
1. Generously coat a 9x13 dish with cooking spray.

2. In a large saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, salt and water. Heat to between 234 and 240 degrees F (112 to 116 degrees C), or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a soft ball that flattens when removed from the water and placed on a flat surface. Remove from heat and beat with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form, 10 to 12 minutes. Stir in vanilla. Pour into prepared pan.

3. Chill in refrigerator 8 hours or overnight. To cut, loosen edges with a knife. Dust surface with confectioners' sugar, and turn out onto a waxed paper lined surface. Dust with confectioners' sugar again and cut with a knife.

Ask Tiffani: How to Deal With Anger

Hey ladies,
One of my best friends was stressed out last night because she had a forty- question lab to do over the weekend which was due today. Sounds terrible, right? She was really stressed out and angry that it took her a couple of hours to complete the lab. She asked me: how do you deal with anger? That's why I was inspired to post about this today.

I have a family friend who has depression. He was a great student in school and he was happy, but everything changed for him when a group of boys cyberbullied him and he coped with his depression by staying home and playing video games. Now his depression's getting better. Yay!

When I'm angry, I don't like to think about what caused my anger. Instead, I like to sit in a comfy place in my room like a chair or my bed and read a book. Reading makes me feel calm and peaceful. If you think about your anger too much, you could become more upset and you don't want to do that. I also heard listening to your favorite songs can help relieve stress and anger. I do that when I'm upset.

Photo is from here.

How do you deal with anger?

P.S. Do you have any questions for me? If so, put them in the comments section below. I love hearing from my readers! When I see a question that interests me, I'll answer it!
